A very beautiful, large, and substantial alabaster/yellowish marble vase with translucent veins, hand-carved in the Belle Époque style, reminiscent of a Medici vase. The rim and base are decorated with stylized leaves. It has a large, solid base. An internal fitting allows it to be converted into a lamp (to be electrified) or used as a planter/cachepot or large vase by placing a cut-off bottle inside, for example. Vintage, 1930s/40s, Italian craftsmanship.
36cm high, 21cm interior (maximum height) + 20cm interior height, 16cm diameter base. In very good overall condition, with a small, discreet chip on the edge of one leaf and a few very minor, superficial chips on the rim. Approximately 7kg.
