For sale is a masterfully crafted, large celadon vase from South Korea, created in the second half of the 20th century. The piece comes from the renowned workshop of An Bong-hak (artist name Minezuru or Bonghak).
Double-walled technique (reticulated/sukashi): The absolute highlight of this vase is its outer, net-like, openwork layer. This was painstakingly hand-carved from moist clay. Inside is a second, closed vase body, ensuring the object remains fully functional. This technique requires masterful skill during the firing process to prevent cracking or warping.
Decoration & Glaze: The vase captivates with its classic, delicate celadon green and a beautifully even, fine crackle glaze. A delicately incised lotus blossom motif adorns the upper shoulder area.
Signature: Handwritten on the underside with the master's marks (峰鶴 - Minezuru / Bonghak) and additionally stamped with the red, square artist's seal.
An impressive and technically perfect collector's item for connoisseurs of fine Asian studio ceramics.
