Beautiful large Japanese ginger jar in the traditional Kutani style, hand-painted and richly decorated with flowers, figurative motifs, and gold accents.
The jar presumably dates from the Shōwa period (circa 1960–1975) and features a red Japanese studio stamp on the base. The refined painting and rich decoration make this a particularly decorative object.
The jar comes with the original lid and a beautifully carved wooden base.
