Large Italian vintage ceramic Harlequin dog, dating from the 70s/80s. Beautiful and nearly life-sized ceramic sculpture in a typical Hollywood Regency style, depicting a Great Dane/Harlequin Dog with a spotted pattern. Italian ceramists of the 70s loved drama and elegance. They often gave dog sculptures the sleek, proud features of a greyhound or shepherd, but combined this with the typical black-and-white spotted 'harlequin' coat that is so characteristic of the Great Dane.
In very good condition without restorations, breaks, or chips, only a few very small glaze spots.
