Product description
A very beautiful, large vintage sunburst mirror in carved wood and gilded stucco, handcrafted in the second half of the 20th century, circa 1970-1980. It features a magnificent radiating frame alternating long, curved flames and small points around a central circular mirror. The back is painted black, and the mirror is held in place by a thin, pointed cardboard backing.
The frame measures 60.5 cm in diameter at its maximum, and the mirror itself is 20 cm in diameter. It is in good overall condition, with some minor scuffs, slight wear to the gilding, small points of wear, and various discreet marks; the piece remains very harmonious. The mirror is clean, and the cardboard backing is slightly warped but securely attached. It weighs approximately 1 kg.
