This lamp has been designed and made in Soviet Union (Ukraine) in the 1970s. It is made of a plastic material and can be used green or white side up.
From a lighting design standpoint, this is quite effective:
The opaque green top prevents glare and directs light downward
The textured white diffuser softens and distributes illumination evenly across the table
Overall effect: comfortable, task-oriented ambient light ideal for dining
The green is bold but slightly softened by the ribbed texture, making it feel retro rather than aggressive. In a neutral Scandinavian palette, it works as a controlled contrast element, similar to how you might introduce a single vintage piece into a contemporary scheme.
This piece works particularly well when you want to:
Introduce a subtle vintage reference without going full retro
Break the monotony of a neutral scheme with a single color accent
Add visual weight horizontally rather than vertically.
Measures 40cm in diameter and 17cm in height.
White silk covered textile electrical cable is over 1m long. It is equipped with one E27 light bulb socket. New electrical installation.
