Decorative plate by Marius Bessonne (1929-2001), made in Vallauris around 1955-1960.
The style of this plate is typical of the late 1950s, reminiscent of photos of Brigitte Bardot posing in newspapers with a young animal in her arms.
This plate is signed on the back. It is a unique piece, a collector's item while prices are still affordable. It is one of this artist's finest creations, which I am offering at a reduced price so that it can enjoy a new life (the very rare comparable plates by the same artist are priced between €320 and €580).
It is in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks.
It comes with its hanging hardware and is ready to be hung on a simple nail, as it weighs only about 600 grams.
It is large, with a diameter of 25.7 cm.
