Product description
Large decorative cassolette in polychrome veined onyx with a gilt metal mount, Italy, vintage 1960s-1970s. Elegant baluster shape on a pedestal base, surmounted by a flared neck flanked by two foliate handles with neoclassical decoration. The solid body, without an opening but with a screw inside the neck, is likely a former lamp base component or an object originally designed as an ornamental piece.
Maximum height to the handles: 36 cm, 32.5 cm to the neck, width: 18 cm to the handles, base diameter: 9 cm. Very good overall condition, with a slight patina on the gilt metal and discreet signs of use. Weight: approximately 2 to 3 kg.
