Product description
Charming large round covered pot/ginger jar in polychrome glazed porcelain. 20th century Chinese craftsmanship, 1950s-1970s vintage. Red stamped mark "Tongzhi nian zhi" under the base. Hand-decorated with motifs of peonies, foliage, and rocks in famille rose. Geometric patterned rim, blue handles, and a lid adorned with a green foo dog handle knob holding a red ball. Approximately 27cm high with lid, 18-19cm without, approximately 24cm maximum diameter. Very good condition, a very discreet enamel chip on the lid, some minor soiling consistent with age. Approximately 3kg. A lovely decorative piece with beautiful proportions.
