Product description
Large rectangular cushion constructed from a mid-20th century Soumak rug fragment. The front panel features a hand-woven flat-weave wool structure with the brocaded texture typical of Soumak work. The design presents a central geometric medallion surrounded by tribal motifs in rust red, ochre, and ivory on a dark charcoal ground.
The reverse side is backed with a traditional polychrome striped Kilim fabric. The piece has a dense, heavy handle. Due to its substantial dimensions, it is suitable for use as a floor cushion, ottoman, or oversized backrest for deep seating.
