Stunning large German ceramic vase signed Carstens Tönnieshof, Europa model, produced in West Germany in the 1960s-70s. An iconic piece of the Fat Lava design, with its spectacular deep red decoration with black undertones and its highly graphic rope relief, typical of the Europa series. The marking under the base confirms the model number 7740-50, corresponding to its cylindrical shape and impressive height of 50 cm. The original Europa label is also present. A striking and highly decorative piece, ideal as a floor vase or centerpiece in a vintage or contemporary interior. Very good condition. Dimensions: Height 50 cm Diameter 22 cm
