Carved from a thick slice of natural banded agate, cut from a Brazilian geode. The interior surface is polished, while the outer edge remains in its natural, unworked state. The agate shows banding in grey, brown, and translucent honey tones. Produced as a decorative object in the late 20th century, it functions well as a jewelry tray, catchall bowl, or tabletop centerpiece.
