Very beautiful large pyritized Puisaye stoneware jug, handmade, probably from Cher or central France. Antique from the late 19th century. Tall and slightly curved shape with a large handle. Beautiful, highly nuanced ash glaze, brown on one side and in ochre, yellow and beige tones on the other. Light grey interior punctuated by numerous pyrites, with a beautiful rustic and mineral appearance. 23cm high, approximately 15cm max diameter and 18cm max depth with the handle. Good general condition. Cannot hold water. Note a hairline crack at the spout, another at the bottom forming several branches, a chip at the base, and two small, slightly visible impacts on the enamel on the yellow side. Approximately 1-2kg.
