Product description
Large antique rectangular serving platter in ironstone from the Longchamp pottery, polychrome "Daisies" pattern, very rare, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, circa 1890-1910. Magnificent romantic, bucolic Art Nouveau decoration of daisies, foliage, grasses, and scrolls in dark pink transfer, delicately hand-embellished with shades of fuchsia pink, mauve, nuanced green, yellow, and brown. The rim is slightly scalloped. 39cm long, 28cm wide, 4cm high. Very good overall condition for its age; there are some minor cutlery scratches and two small, discreet patinated marks in the center. Approximately 1.2 kg.
