Designed in 1971 by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi for Stilnovo, the Lampiatta is an icon of 1970s Italian design. This original early piece combines functionality and formal experimentation, distinctive characteristics of the celebrated Milanese trio.
The lamp features a weighted black ABS base with angled cuts that allow the white lacquered metal diffuser to be adjusted in various positions. The diffuser can also be used separately as a pendant, making the Lampiatta an extremely versatile object.
In good vintage condition, the diffuser shows normal signs of age—small scratches and light peeling—while the base is well preserved. Fully functional and equipped with the original wiring, it represents a perfect example of Italian designer lighting by Stilnovo.
