Studio Haag is proud to present a very rare Lamingo G-149 floor lamp by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd AB, Sweden, 1960s
Designed in the 1960s by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, the Lamingo G-149 floor lamp is a striking example of his mastery in creating soft, glare-free light through layered construction. The distinctive shade, composed of horizontally stacked metal rings, filters the light into a warm, atmospheric glow while maintaining a strong graphic presence.
The shade rests atop a slender, white-lacquered stem and a discreet circular base, giving the lamp an elegant, floating quality. When lit, the light spreads gently upward and downward, creating an ambient halo that is both functional and sculptural.
In very good vintage condition, with light signs of age consistent with careful use. The lamp presents beautifully when lit, with all parts functioning well and the original design intact.
A rare and iconic floor lamp from Jakobsson’s celebrated Lamingo series — timeless, atmospheric, and a standout piece of Swedish mid-century lighting, now available through Studio Haag.
