Stunning vintage West African necklace, purchased in the 1990s and worn very little since. It features large, deep green Krobo recycled glass beads from Ghana, handcrafted using the traditional powdered glass technique—hence their characteristic matte and slightly textured surface. The beads are separated by small, faceted brass discs that add a beautiful sparkle to the glass's matte finish. The centerpiece is a filigree brass pendant, hand-braided into an openwork cage—a true work of West African craftsmanship, reminiscent of Ashanti or Baoulé art. The necklace fastens with a handmade hook clasp in the same brass. Length: approx. 47 cm (measured flat, open) Weight: 195 g Materials: Krobo recycled glass beads, brass Condition: excellent vintage condition.
