Iconic four-piece Modus series seating set – Kristian Vedel
Iconic four-piece seating set in black leather and rosewood: two armchairs, an ottoman, and a low table from the legendary Modus series. Designed in 1963 by the renowned Danish designer Kristian Vedel for Søren Willadsen. The sling-like, sculpted backrests and armrests conform perfectly to the body; a rare Scandinavian modern masterpiece with rosewood frames and leather cushions, even spotted in François Truffaut’s Fahrenheit 451 (1966).
From the first owner, with normal signs of use for an original 1960s piece. Some discoloration of the rosewood, leather in excellent condition (fastening slightly stretched). The tabletop has some scratches, easily remedied by a glass plate if desired.
Pick up by appointment in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. Serious buyers are welcome for a viewing following an offer that reflects the value of this set.
