Krin Rinsema (Meppel, 1947) prefers to make etchings. For this she uses aluminum offset plates that she gets from the local printer. After six or seven prints the plate is worn out. As a result, the prints already have something unique and she usually continues working on the work afterwards. Sometimes by inking the plate differently and sometimes by continuing to work on it with, for example, charcoal on the paper.
Krin expresses herself best in black; she prefers black printing ink or charcoal. Color distracts, because that is not the point. Like a true alchemist, Krin is constantly experimenting with combining different techniques. With the aim of giving her work the right emotionality.
This beautiful large etching is in excellent condition and is hand-signed by the artist. The etching has a run number of 1/9 and can be framed as is to hang on the wall.
