This superb 1960s vase from Bavarian ceramics is a testament to exceptional craftsmanship. Originally conceived as a vase, it has been transformed into a floor lamp, with a small hole at the bottom to allow the electric cable to pass through. The vase's black background is sumptuously decorated with Chinese floral motifs, adding a touch of elegance to the object. It is in excellent condition, although the stamp at the bottom of the vase is partially faded due to the addition of the hole. Founded in 1884 by Christoph Krautheim, the manufactory evolved over the years, becoming a prestigious supplier to the Royal Court of Bavaria, among others, after starting afresh in 1912 as Krautheim & Adelberg. This lamp-adaptable vase thus symbolizes both the history and craftsmanship of a bygone era.
