This is a vintage advertising poster for the Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM), designed by Carl Gabriel. The work is a characteristic example of graphic design from the Art Deco era, combining the legend of 'The Flying Dutchman' with the rise of modern aviation. The poster, a lithographic print on paper, was manufactured by the printing company Van de Ven from The Hague. The composition shows the mythical figure pointing to a KLM Fokker F.VII aircraft, under the slogan 'No Legend but Reality'.
