The Artifort 070 sofa is an iconic design by designer Kho Liang Ie, introduced around 1962.
This sofa is known for its clean lines, elegant timeless base, and minimalist design of the seat cushions, giving it a luxurious appearance.
The 070 series offers an active seating position thanks to the slightly higher and not too deep seat, making it comfortable for lounging as well as watching TV or reading.
The design is timeless and functional.
This design is an original piece from the 1960s and features a lacquered black frame, with typical differences in the legs; on one side they are slightly thicker than on the other, which is typical of early examples.
The upholstery of the sofa has been completely restored and fitted with a first-class trendy furniture fabric in the color Petrol. The type is Odense, a soft-feeling bouclé fabric with a retro twist. The signs of use can never be described as disturbing and are entirely consistent with the age and intended use of the furniture, but can be considered minimal.
The sofa is a timeless classic with a sleek design that was timeless and, for its time, progressive; it is no coincidence that the sofa was re-released in 2008 and remains popular due to its modernist aesthetic and versatility.
