Kees Salentijn (Amsterdam, 1947) is educated at the Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam, department of fine art. OB Kat is his main teacher there. Salentijn studies paintings in the Prado in Madrid during his study period and he stays with a Berber family in Morocco for several months. In the eighties Salentijn travels a lot to Spain.
