Kazuhide Takahama:
Kazuhide Takahama is a Japanese designer born in Miyazaki, Japan.
After graduating from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1953, Takahama designed the Japanese pavilion for the Milan Triennale.
It was there that he met Dino Gavina, with whom he collaborated on several occasions over the following decade.
Later, Takahama also collaborated with B&B Italia, Simon, Sirrah and Knoll, to name but a few.
His designs are clear in their lines and shapes, and present a high quality of design.
A pure, well-defined stylistic vocabulary.
With the functionalist approach of modernism, he has designed with a Japanese sense of materials and aesthetics conveniently combined with Western elements.
