An iconic art glass vase designed by Josef Hospodka, produced at the Czech glassworks Chřibská Sklárna in the 1960s and 1970s.
This exceptionally striking, collectible design is crafted using the advanced sommerso technique (immersing colored layers of glass in a colorless mass). It features an organic shape, characteristic of Czech modernism, with a spectacularly undulating, rich rim reminiscent of flower petals and a massive, transparent base.
The vase captivates with its unique color gradient – from a saturated, deep fuchsia/magenta at the top, which smoothly transitions to a cool, violet-blue hue at the bottom of the body. Thanks to the thick layer of crystal glass, the piece works brilliantly with light, creating stunning optical reflections.
An ideal decorative element for Mid-Century Modern, vintage, retro, and modern living rooms as a striking color accent. Detailed dimensions:
Height: 26 cm
Width/span of the spout: 17 x 17 cm
Base dimensions: 9 x 9 cm
Condition:
