A rare, original Johnnie Walker advertising sign from the 1970s, crafted from solid wood with a raised, hand-painted figure of the famous "Striding Man." This motif has been the hallmark of Scottish whisky tradition for over 100 years.
The inscription "Born 1820 – Still Going Strong" was first used as an advertising slogan around 1950 and references the brand's long history: In 1820, John Walker began selling his first blends in Kilmarnock, Scotland. This small venture evolved into one of the world's most famous whisky brands.
The relief depicts the signature gentleman in a red frock coat, top hat, and walking stick – a symbol of progress and permanence. These wooden plaques once adorned pubs, bars, and specialty shops in Great Britain and Continental Europe.
Dimensions: approx. 45 × 30 × 2.5 cm
Material: Wood with hand-painted 3D relief
Condition: Authentic vintage condition with age-appropriate signs of wear (minor chips and drill holes, see photos)
Date of creation: circa 1970s
