Fantastic sculptural counter balance ceiling lamp designed by JJM Hoogervorst for Anvia Almelo, Holland 1957. This fantastic lamp is a mid-1950s edition, not compared to the later one with plastic details this edition is fully made of metal. This amazing lamp has a white lacquered arm and black lacquered shade and weight. The lamp balances in any wanted position by changing the weight at the back as you can screw this back and forth at the end of the arm which creates the balance of this lamp. An ingenious system by one of the best lighting manufacturers from Holland of their era. Comparable to Arredoluce and Stilnovo, quality wise.
The lamp is in used original condition with some paint losses and discoloration (yellow/off white) as you can see on the pictures.
The lamp shade has a small dent which means it is not fully straight. The lamps wiring is Still the original but in working order.
