This community was built by the nearby mining company. Workers were offered housing when concluding a “yellow dog agreement”, a contract between employee and employer in which the employee agrees, as an additional condition of employment, not to join a union. This gave this mining village the name “Yellow Dog Village”. Traveling and photographing with a fascination for abandoned architecture and faded glory, Jef Peeters seeks and explores lost and forgotten places to be rediscovered. He captures the soul and forgotten stories and turns them into narrative images. This high-quality photo is printed directly on white dibond aluminum and is in mint condition. Limited Edition Fine Art Print, personally dated and signed by the artist.
