A lovely vintage stoneware teapot, signed JP on the base, for Jean-Pierre Prud’Homme, who was active in La Borne during the 1970s and 80s. Its low, rounded shape is inspired by Japanese design, typical of teapots from this period, with a short spout, ribbon handle, and filter integrated directly into the clay. The beige glaze is speckled with brown, green, and orange hues.
Approximately 25cm long (including handle), 16cm in diameter, 12.5cm high with the lid, 10cm without. In good overall condition with a few very discreet chips: two on the inside rim of the lid, three on the neck of the opening (hidden when closed), and a slightly more visible chip of about 5mm inside the spout. Approximately 900g.
