A Great Dutch Master Artist Who Sadly Only Became 31 Years Old. His Entire Oeuvre, Created Between 1907 and 1918, Includes About 150 Paintings, Mostly On Small Formats, Some 100 Drawings and Over 40 Sheets of Graphics, Mostly Etchings and Woodcuts.
Jan Mankes entered art history as "Holland's Most Stilted Painter." He died young of tuberculosis, which contributed to the myth surrounding his artistry.
