Product description
Jacques Pouchain's vase, from the Dieulefit workshop, is an emblematic piece of French ceramics from the 1960s. Made from glazed beige stoneware, this object bears witness to Pouchain's unique talent for combining poetry and design. Having turned away from traditional studies to devote himself to ceramics, he experimented with glazes, notably combining a white glaze with manganese oxide, creating pieces of great originality. Some of his works now adorn prestigious institutions such as the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris and Boston University. This vintage vase, now invaluable, was put forward at an internationally renowned auction, attesting to its importance in the history of contemporary ceramics.
