Ivory enameled porcelain coffee pot, fan-shaped with radiating flutes on a rectangular base. Angular handle and spout, typical of the Art Deco style. Rectangular lid with a knob. Decorated with a hand-painted red rose, and a burgundy stripe around the rim of the lid and the body. Marking on the base: Cambas, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, Made in France, hand-painted, shape number 50/31. Complete with its original lid. The Cambas factory in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, in the North of France, was one of the great French porcelain manufacturers of the 20th century. It produced quality tableware and serving pieces, often hand-decorated by specialized female artisans. This coffee pot is a characteristic example: the form is industrial, the decoration is human. Each rose is unique. A piece to display on a sideboard, in a kitchen with character, or to put back into service for a Sunday morning coffee. The fan shape catches the eye. The rose holds the attention. And the marking is reassuring: it's authentic French, handmade in the North.
