This Italian umbrella stand from the 1950s has an eye-catching, sculptural shape that is strongly reminiscent of the Mid - Century Modern design vocabulary. The conical construction is made up of a large number of fine, black lacquered metal rods that fan out at the top.
The individual rods are connected at the top by a brass-colored ring, on which there are a total of twelve outwardly curved hooks - ideal for hanging umbrellas or walking sticks. The upper section can also be rotated. The connection is additionally stabilized by a central brass element that acts as a decorative accent in the middle of the structure.
The base consists of a solid, brass-coloured anodized aluminium ring that serves as a drip catcher. The base shows signs of use, which underlines the authenticity of its age. The design of the stand combines functionality with elegance - particularly through the interplay of black and gold, which gives the object a sophisticated yet modern look.
