A rare Italian modernist pendant light from the 1960s, composed of three long articulated brass arms with ivory lacquered conical diffusers.
The strikingly graphic design of this piece is reminiscent of certain Italian designs from the Triennale period, with sophisticated craftsmanship in the mechanical joints and tubular counterweights. The three adjustable arms intersect at the same horizontal level around the central pole, creating a beautifully balanced, sculptural silhouette when suspended.
The perforated conical diffusers cast a subtle light and showcase a beautiful technical aesthetic typical of mid-century Italian design.
The light fixture has intentionally retained its original patina:
the brass displays a warm, even oxidation that we have chosen not to strip in order to preserve its character and authenticity.
However, a complete cleaning of the brass can be carried out before shipping upon request.
Please note:
There are some minor signs of wear and slight scuffs on the paint of the conical diffusers, consistent with the age and use of the piece.
A very attractive decorative piece, ideal for a modernist, brutalist, or mid-century interior.
