Enamelled plate Ipac Vernier with paper visual "Supercarburant Antigivre" 60s
Illustrated by Vernier and manufactured by Ipac in the 60s, this authentic two-sided metal advertising plate is remarkable for its use of two processes in advertising posters: a blue enamelled metal base superimposed by polychrome wallpaper, giving this tangy coloured side highlighting the ANTIGIVRE superfuel product, which is noticeable from afar!
It belonged to the aunt of its former owner, who owned a petrol station in the town of Vierzon, in central France. It's made for indoors and out, and can be wall-mounted thanks to the two holes on either side of the top of the plate, or suspended, being two-sided and reversible. Withstanding the long heat of summer and the long cold nights of winter, this valiant plate served its owner from the 60's to the 90's, until it ended up stored in an attic, waiting to find its rightful place.
It has obviously suffered some wear and tear over time, one side being in better condition than the other, which is what gives it its vintage charm and authenticity. This in no way detracts from its beauty and original design.
