Inuit Gut Skin Parka

The parka comes with a very rare hat and pouch. The hat is trimmed with down feathers.
The parka is displayed in a display case measuring 85 x 85 cm.
Condition: signs of use. No restorations or similar. The display case has preserved the work from decay or further damage. Very fragile.
A museum piece!
The skill of making waterproof, lightweight clothing goes back far in Inuit history. The material used is seal gut, which was emptied, dried, and cut into long strips that were then sewn together.
