Femme nue [24/08/87] - Eugène Eechaut [1928-2019] France - 1987 Original Work - India ink - Dated, signed 40 cm x 30 cm - Framed Magnificent India ink drawing, a remarkable work of great pictorial quality. In very good condition. Eugène Eechaut's magnificent nude drawings are increasingly sought-after. In 1958, he received his first awards as a painter from the "Centre Européen d'Art et d'Esthétique". From the 1960s onwards, he exhibited alongside Magritte, Cocteau and Max Ernst at the Galerie Pfeiffer in Brussels. Throughout his career, Eugène Eechaut rubbed shoulders with and exhibited in Europe's leading galleries and art shows. Catalogs and invitations include works by artists such as Jean Cocteau, René Magritte, Dunoyer de Segonzac, Léon Navez, Félicien Rops, Paul Klee and many others. It was impossible for him to sell his work, even within his own family. He jealously guarded his production, hence the lack of information and commercial results for his work. The archives of his career were rediscovered after his death, along with his work, giving it a whole new dimension. - Description: Indian ink drawing. - Artist : Eugène Eechaut (1928-2019) - Title : Femme nue - Year : 1987 - Signature : Stamp on back - Condition : Excellent - Dimensions : 40 cm x 30 cm
