This impressive hand-carved wooden sculpture depicts a majestic pheasant or peacock-like bird standing proudly on a tree stump, with a curious squirrel below. The work is meticulously crafted and partially polychromed in soft shades of green, blue, and red.
At approximately 90–100 cm tall, this is not a souvenir, but a unique and monumental showpiece likely originating from the Alpine region (Tyrol/Southern Germany/Austria) around the mid-20th century. Such works were often commissioned for chalets, hunting lodges, or prestigious interiors. Details:
