Product description
Superb hand-thrown stoneware pitcher from the mid-20th century, circa 1960-1970. A French piece in the style of Puisaye or La Borne pottery, with an aesthetic strongly reminiscent of Japanese pottery such as that from the Iga kilns. Beautifully slender and balanced, with a wide body and narrow neck, it features a sturdy handle and a pronounced spout. The upper part is finished with an ash-colored glaze in superb shades of khaki green, while the body is a lovely warm brown. The glaze on the upper part forms long, natural drips that are particularly decorative. Height 34 cm, maximum width 20 cm including the handle, diameter approximately 16 cm. In very good overall condition, with no significant flaws. Estimated weight between 2 and 3 kg.
