Product description
Facing West depicts that special moment just before sunrise. You stand with your feet in the surf, looking out over the sea as night slowly gives way to day. The sun is not yet visible, but the sky is already beginning to glow in unexpected colors: soft orange, pink, peach, and light yellow. These hues are reflected in the water, giving the sea an almost dreamy glow as well.
It is a transitional moment in the day—no longer night, but not yet full morning. It is precisely in that brief window of time that the most extraordinary colors often emerge in the sky and water. With this painting, the artist wanted to capture that quiet beginning of a new day by the sea.
This work was part of an exhibition in August 2025.
