G. De Majo:
A Heritage of Creativity and Tradition
De Majo Illuminazione was founded at the end of World War II by Guido de Majo, who, after leaving his native Naples, settled in the lagoon and established his first glassworks on the island of Murano in 1947.
From the very beginning, despite its small size, thanks to a demanding business strategy focused on product quality, this company played a significant role in Murano glassmaking, becoming, within a few years, a solid and established industry.
By prioritizing quality, it has always seized the new and exciting opportunities created in the glass industry.
In the 1970s, design became an important element of production and De Majo was one of the first companies to invest in this concept and introduced it alongside traditional high-quality handcrafted products.
