Marie-Jeanne van de Velde (MJ) is a trained contemporary Flemish artist. Born with an artistic eye and a passion for painting, sculpture, jewelry and ceramics, she creates under the name MJ. The work can be abstract or figurative. The matter can take on an aesthetic or symbolic meaning within the context of the whole work, it can retain something of its original identity. Her career began as a professional painter in 1988 and in the meantime she also became a gifted ceramicist, always experimenting with new materials and techniques. Her works are also exhibited at home and abroad and own gallery. Each work is authentic and hand-signed.
