The design balances between an organic mushroom shape and a futuristic 'flat orb' or 'donut'. It features an extremely wide, flattened bulge with a relatively narrow opening at the top. Although produced around the turn of the century, the design is strongly inspired by the organic, minimalist glass art of the Mid-Century Modern era. Maria Vinka deliberately chose hand-blown, thick-walled glass. As a result, each individual piece is unique and the glass possesses a heavy, luxurious quality that was unusual for the regular range at the time.
