France / 1957 / Clemenceau stool / Maison Dominique / Andre Domin & Marcel Genevriere / metal, vinyl / Mid - Century / Vintage

The stool has a four-foot base of black lacquered aluminum foil fins, along a tubular structure with copper leg ends (one missing). The height is adjustable with a large screw. Atop a seat cushion upholstered in cognac faux leather. The faux leather has some minor scuffs and tears but is otherwise in good original condition.
This stool was specially designed by Dominique André DOMIN (1883 - 1962) and Marcel GENEVRIÈRE (1885 - 1967) for the dining room of the admiral of the aircraft carrier "Clémenceau".
