Eames Lounge Chair with Ottoman (models 670 and 671), an icon of 20th-century design created by Charles and Ray Eames in 1956.
ICF De Padova is historically very relevant for the Italian market:
ICF De Padova Production
Historic License: In the 1960s, Maddalena De Padova obtained from Herman Miller the license to produce the Eames and George Nelson designs in Italy.
Production Period: ICF (Industrie Carnovali Forniture) of Vimodrone produced authorized versions of the Lounge Chair until January 1, 1986.
The Change of Course: After 1986, exclusive rights for production in Europe and the Middle East passed to the Swiss company Vitra.
Model ICF Features
Materials: The vintage ICF versions are often made from fine curved rosewood and black leather, with a cast aluminum base.
Valore per Collezionisti: The pieces produced by ICF under license from Herman Miller (pre-1986) are today considered highly sought-after collectibles for their rarity and build quality.
Identification: An original ICF is usually recognizable by a manufacturer’s label placed under the seat shell and by the die-cast 670 and 671 markings
