For sale is an exceptionally rare and high-quality original two-piece flower arrangement dish from the renowned Hutschenreuther Art Department in Selb, based on a design by the important sculptor Karl Tutter (1883–1969).
This elegant Rococo couple is among the most expressive figurative works from the Hutschenreuther Art Department. The finely modeled faces, the detailed drapery, the high-quality hand-painting, and the subtle gold trim lend this ensemble an extraordinary radiance and make it a sought-after collector's item of German porcelain art.
Unlike the individual figures predominantly offered today, this is the complete original two-piece set, consisting of the group of figures with integrated flower arrangement and the accompanying original water bowl.

Karl Tutter (1883–1969) is one of the most important modelers of the Hutschenreuther Art Department. His designs are characterized by elegance, dynamism, and the highest level of craftsmanship and continue to enjoy international acclaim among collectors of high-quality German porcelain art.

Item number
By comparing several original, preserved examples with original factory labels, the Hutschenreuther Art Department item number 1183/3 could be clearly identified. This handwritten factory mark is found on identical original labels and serves as important proof of identification for this model.
Dating
The design originates from Karl Tutter's classic creative period and is stylistically attributed to the 1930s. Based on the green Art Department mark used, the present example was probably manufactured in the mid-20th century.
