For sale is a high-quality and expressive porcelain figurine from the Hutschenreuther Art Department in Selb, based on a design by the renowned animal sculptor Hans Achtziger (1918–2003). Model 2163, designed in 1950, depicts a mallard drake in flight, capturing a dynamic moment above reeds and water.
The exceptionally lifelike modeling, the finely detailed feather structures, and the meticulous original hand-painting lend the figurine an impressive vibrancy. Thanks to its harmonious composition and sculptural execution, this model is considered one of the classic animal depictions from the Hutschenreuther Art Department.
