This decorative ceramic plate is a creation of Giovanni Poggi, produced at the renowned San Giorgio workshop in Albisola. It is distinguished by its incised equestrian motif, illustrating the expressive and sculptural approach characteristic of mid-century Italian ceramics.
Made of glazed ceramic, the piece features an off-white background enhanced with touches of cobalt blue at the rim, framing the central design of a stylized horse. The incised lines reveal the natural color of the terracotta beneath the glaze, creating a subtle and textured contrast. The back of the plate bears the signature of the San Giorgio Albisola workshop, confirming its origin and authenticity.
