Beautiful Hollywood Regency table lamp from the Orient in
the style of Jean Claude Mahey and James Mont.
This atmospheric light is crafted from fine
materials such as lacquered wood or (ceramic), silk, and brass.
The silk shade has a stiffly pleated pattern that
was likely formed with starch or another fixative.
When the lamp is lit, this results in a beautiful vein or root pattern.
The shade is connected to the decorative base by a
wide brass tube that terminates in a sleek square block. This plain block, in turn, rests
on the lacquered wood decorative base, which is also square—
but with flattened corners and edges.
This decorative base is painted gold and has
a bamboo pattern.
Finally, this decorative base rests
on a sleek black wooden square.
The lamp has a single E27 socket.
