Hand-carved wood & wrought iron, 19th century
An exceptional antique wall candle holder with a richly carved wooden base in the Rococo style. The asymmetrical rocaille, leaf, and shell motifs demonstrate exquisite craftsmanship and a vibrant sense of depth.
The three candle arms are made of wrought iron with decorative leaf and volute ornamentation. The dark patina of the iron provides an elegant contrast to the warm, aged wood tone of the carvings.
The candle sockets are crafted from wood and firmly attached to the iron arms. Designed as a wall hanging, this piece functions both as a practical candle holder and as a striking decorative object.
